Australasian Certification for Reinforcing Steel (ACRS)
Our ACRS certification is an independent, third-party product certification that our SEISMIC® Grade 300E and 500E products meet the New Zealand Reinforcing Standard AS/NZS 4671.
International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ)
On October 31st 2016 Pacific Steel received an IANZ Certificate of Accreditation for our Mechanical Testing Laboratory.
Greenstar
As part of our ongoing commitment to our environment Pacific Steel have worked closely with the New Zealand Green Building Council for a number of years to ensure our products are eligible to earn Greenstar points under the latest V3 standard as well as the previous standards.
Environmental Choice New Zealand (ECNZ)
In early 2016 Pacific Steel were awarded the Environmental Choice EC41-15 certification under the latest review of the certification standard. The eco-label is critical in our pathway to our products being eligible under New Zealand Green Building Council Greenstar scheme.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Certification
Our environmental management systems has been assessed by Telarc and found to operate in accordance with AN/NZS ISO 14001:2015
New Zealand Made
As New Zealand's only manufacturer of reinforcing bar, coil, and galvanized wire we are a proud member of the New Zealand Made group.
Worldsteel Association Climate Action Member (WSCA)
Pacific Steel roll all our reinforcing bar, rod, coil and wire products using iron sand steel billets produced at the New Zealand Steel's mill in Glenbrook, Auckland. Previously in the manufacture of recycled steel products we held our own WSCA membership however, we now utilise New Zealand Steel's WSCA membership for all of our manufactured products.
Membership of the WSCA program contributes to our status as a responsible steel maker - which is part of the Greenstar pre-requisite for materials credits.
